Dawn Miller, a native of Parkridge, Illinois, discovered her passion for art during her formative years at Villa Duchesne in Frontenac, Missouri. While attending high school, she experienced her first taste of artistic expression and soon found herself captivated by the world of creativity.

Although Dawn's talent garnered recognition in the form of numerous art show entries and awards, she chose to pursue a different path by venturing into nursing school. However, fate had a different plan in store for her. A few years ago, Dawn endured a life-altering accident that left her with a traumatic brain injury. The accident irreversibly changed her career prospects, closing the door on her aspirations as a nurse.

Amidst the challenges and hardships that followed, Dawn found solace and a renewed sense of purpose in her artistic endeavors. Painting emerged as her sanctuary, providing respite from the residual noise in her mind caused by the accident. With every stroke of the brush, she discovered a therapeutic release and a profound sense of tranquility and joy. It was during this transformative period that Dawn realized her true calling: to forge a career as an artist.

Dawn holds a firm belief that artistic talent is an innate gift, a part of one's being from birth. With an unwavering commitment to self-improvement, she embarked on a journey of artistic exploration, expanding her creative abilities through practical experience, trial and error, and self-guided learning.
